The Bank of America Theatre opened as the Majestic Theatre which was originally built as a mixed use theatre and office building in 1906 and was the tallest building in the city at the time. Notables such as Harry Houdini and Lily Langtry graced the stage during the height of Vaudeville. The Majestic closed during the Great Depression and was shuttered for 15 years. In 1945 the theatre was remodeled and much of the original design was retained. The Majestic stage became well-known with performances of Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, and Carousel.

Exit at the Wabash / Madison stop and walk down the stairs.
At street level, walk south on Wabash one block to Monroe.
Take a right on Monroe and we will be 1 ½ blocks up on the right hand side just past the Bank of America Theatre.
The Hampton Inn Majestic is located at 22 West Monroe.
CTA directions from O'Hare International Airport
Leave O'Hare International Airport on the Blue Line "El Train." The train only goes one direction from O'Hare International Airport toward downtown Chicago.
Exit at the Monroe stop and walk up the stairs. The Hampton Inn Majestic is located east of the train stop at 22 West Monroe above the Bank of America Theatre.
