"We found our experience to be really great. The location was in walking distance to many of the places we wanted to see. The staff were very helpful in providing map and information about the train. The breakfast provided a variety of good options. They even offered "breakfast on the run/bagged breakfast for those who weren't able to prepare a plate and dine in the lobby." "As usual this Hampton Inn was a great little gem, perfectly located with both the red and blue subway/train lines outside the front door. Front door guys were extremely helpful and always friendly as were the folks minding the desk. Breakfast was more than adequate with rotating hot items, cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels, tea/coffee (always available). Fitness room was clean and adequately equipped. Our double room was big with comfy beds and dark curtains! Never had any noise issue on 16th floor, always quiet!
Be sure to load a Ventra Card for cheap subway transportation, as it pays for itself quickly. The area was very safe at night to walk home from the train, bars or restaurants.... we were two females traveling and never had a problem. Also recommend the Chicago City Pass, saves lots of money and lots of time bypassing very long general ticket lines, and there are discount coupons also included for shopping!! Highly recommend this hotel for many reasons and especially location!" TripAdvisor user 4Doc: September 2014
